Series shifts to Big D

• After splitting the first two games in Calgary, the Stars host the Flames in Games 3 and 4 at American Airlines Center.
• The Stars earned a 2-0 victory in Game 2 on Thursday night in Calgary on goals from Joe Pavelski and Michael Raffl. Tyler Seguin, Jason Robertson and Jani Hakanpää tallied assists, while Jake Oettinger earned his first career postseason shutout (29 saves).
• The Stars franchise holds a 5-1 record as the home team against Calgary in the postseason and own a perfect 3-0 mark on home ice.
• During the 2020 playoff series, Dallas rallied from a three-goal deficit in the first period of Game 6 and registered the next seven goals to record a series-clinching 7-3 win and advance to the 2020 Western Conference Second Round against the Colorado Avalanche.
• The Stars have won both playoff series against the Flames, most recently registering a 4-2 series victory during the 2020 Western Conference First Round in Edmonton.

His time is now

• With his 29-save shutout in Game 2, Oettinger (23 years, 138 days) became the second-youngest goaltender in franchise history to win a playoff game after Don Beaupre (19 years, 202 days) in Game 2 of the 1981 Preliminary Round with the Minnesota North Stars.
• He's the fifth goaltender in Dallas Stars history (1993-present) to record a shutout in the postseason, becoming the youngest netminder to accomplish this feat.
• He joins the ranks of Anton Khudobin, Kari Lehtonen (2x), Marty Turco (4x) and Ed Belfour (8x) as netminders who have recorded clean sheets for Dallas in the postseason.
• With the shutout in Game 2, the native of Lakeville, Minn., extended his shutout streak to 114:59. Only four goaltenders in Stars/North Stars history have posted longer runs in the playoffs: Turco (167:05 in 2007), Belfour (4x; longest: 164:35 in 2000), Cesare Maniago (138:57 in 1973 with the North Stars) and Jon Casey (120:49 in 1991 with the North Stars).
• Additionally, he tied Giles Meloche (April 16-17, 1980 vs. Montreal) for the fewest goals allowed by a goaltender in franchise history over his first two playoff starts with the club.
• In Game 1, he stopped 25 of 26 shots, surrendering his only goal of the evening on the power play.
• During the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs, he leads the NHL with a 0.50 goals-against average and .982 save percentage and is tied for first in shutouts (1).
