Help Kids by Bringing a Donation on Feb. 5

by Dallas Stars Staff / Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars and 1-800-GOT-JUNK? are partnering to support Jonathan’s Place -- an emergency shelter for abused, abandoned and neglected children and a Foster & Adoptive Family Program. Fans attending the February 5 game vs. Vancouver are encouraged to bring items for donation that will go directly to help the kids at Jonathan’s Place.

The 1-800-GOT-JUNK? highly-recognizable blue and green trucks will be parked in front of the main entrance of American Airlines Center on game night, February 5th where donations of clothing, toys, and recyclables, such as cell phones, laptops, and batteries, will be accepted.

We encourage fans to bring recyclable electronic or children’s toy donations to support this initiative.  The Dallas Stars Foundation recently presented Jonathan’s Place with a $21,200 grant. This grant will assist Jonathan’s Place with their Case Management Services program to take care of the emotional and psychological needs of the children, as well as their health and physical welfare.
