FOX Sports Southwest will take fans behind the scenes with PLAYING FOR PEVS, a 30-minute special that features an in-depth look at the night of Stars forward Rich Peverley's collapse on the bench and the series of events that surrounded the incident thereafter. The show will premiere on Monday, Jan. 4 at 7:00 PM CT.
Peverley suffered a cardiac incident that led to his collapse on the bench in a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday, March 10, 2014. His heart condition ultimately led to his retirement from the game of hockey and he currently serves as the Stars Player Development Coordinator.
Produced by John Veitch, Playing For Pevs will give viewers an exclusive opportunity to hear from Peverley, his teammates, coaching staff, members of the Stars and Blue Jackets front offices, and several others regarding the impact of that night. The show will detail the decisions regarding the postponement of the game, the turnaround required to play a game less than 24-hours later, a 3-2 overtime win in St. Louis, as well as Peverley's plans for the future.
