The Texas Stars were on the road this past weekend and won two of three games to improve to 10-9-2 on the season.
The Stars have been on a roll offensively, scoring 44 goals over the past 10 games and now rank third in the league in goal scoring at 3.90 per game. They got a big performance over the weekend from veteran forward Erik Condra, who tallied eight points in the three games including two goals and three assists in a 7-3 win in Chicago on Sunday.
This weekend's performance earned Condra honors from the American Hockey League. The Stars have some other players who have been on a roll lately including forwards Adam Mascherin, Joel L'Esperance, Denis Gurianov, and Justin Dowling.

Friday, November 30: Texas 4, Milwaukee 1

Landon Bow stopped 23 shots in his first game back from the NHL, Mascherin scored two goals, and Condra tallied one goal and one assist as won as Texas won, 4-1, at Milwaukee on Friday. Condra staked the Stars to a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 14:32 of the first and Mascherin scored twice in the second to push the lead to 3-0. L'Esperance scored in the third period to give the Stars a 4-0 lead before the Admirals scored late in the game on the power play to spoil Bow's shutout bid.

Saturday, December 1: Grand Rapids 6, Texas 3

Texas battled back from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to tie the game 3-3 early in the second period, but Grand Rapids scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Stars, 6-3, at Van Andel Arena Saturday. Condra, Mascherin, and L'Esperance all scored goals for Texas. Bow got the start in goal and stopped 24 of 29 shots.

Sunday, December 2: Texas 7, Chicago 3

Condra recorded five points (two goals, three assists) to lead the Texas Stars to a 7-3 win at Chicago on Sunday. Condra factored in the first four Texas goals -- scoring two and assisting on two -- as the Stars built a 4-1 lead in the game by the 6:19 mark of the second period. Nick Caamano and Travis Morin both scored twice for Texas, and Dowling also found the back of the net. Philippe Desrosiers got the start in goal and stopped 18 of 22 shots for his first AHL win of the season.

Idaho Steelheads

The Idaho Steelheads won both their games last week to extend their winning streak to three games. The Steelheads are 11-8-3 on the season. Stars forward prospect Tony Calderone scored his first ECHL goal of the season in a 4-1 win over Jacksonville on Friday. Calderone has four points (one goal, three assists) in 11 games with the Steelheads.
