FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has signed goaltender Remi Poirier to a three-year, entry-level contract beginning in the 2022-23 season.

Poirier, 20, has posted a record of 17-6-4 in 29 games this season for the Gatineau Olympiques of the QMJHL. He has earned a 2.24 goals against average and a .919 save percentage, leading the QMJHL in both categories. In four seasons in the league, all with Gatineau, Poirier has appeared in 117 games, earning a cumulative record of 57-45-11, a .904 save percentage, a 3.04 goals against average and seven shutouts. He appeared in the playoffs in two of his four seasons, playing nine games and posting a record of 2-7-0. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound native of Farnham, Que., was selected by Dallas in the sixth round (185th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.
