FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced Thursday that the club has signed goaltender Philippe Desrosiers to a one-year, two-way contract.

Desrosiers, 22, split the 2017-18 season between the Texas Stars (AHL) and the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL). In two AHL games with Texas, he posted a 1-0-0 mark with a .962 SV% and a 0.86 GAA. The netminder posted a 23-9-3 record in 36 ECHL games with Idaho, recording a .913 save percentage, a 2.51 goals against average and two shutouts. Among ECHL goaltenders, he finished the season tied for fifth in wins (23) and eighth in shutouts (2), while ranking ninth in GAA (2.51). He also appeared in 10 postseason contests during the ECHL's Kelly Cup Playoffs, earning a 4-3 record with a .934 SV% and a 2.00 GAA.
Over his career, Desrosiers has appeared in 20 career AHL regular-season contests with a 9-7-0 record, recording a .909 SV%, a 2.65 GAA and one shutout. The goaltender has also played in 100 ECHL regular-season games and has posted a 51-30-11 mark with a .907 SV%, 2.86 GAA and four shutouts. In 17 Kelly Cup Playoff games, he has a 7-6 record, a .930 SV% and a 2.19 GAA.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec was selected by Dallas in the second round (54th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
