FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has signed center Jacob Peterson to a two-year, entry level contract.

Peterson, 21, recorded 33 points (14-19=33) in 46 regular season games played for Farjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). This season, Peterson was tied for third on the club in goals (14), and fourth in assists (19) and points (33). He also added two points (1-1=2) in six postseason contests. In total, the forward has skated in 100 career SHL games and has recorded 51 points (19-32=51).

At the international level, he has represented Sweden at the 2018 U-18 World Junior Championship and recorded two points (1-1=2) in seven games.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound native of Lidkoping, Sweden was originally selected by Dallas in the fifth round (132nd overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft.
