Dallas Stars Select Valeri Nichushkin with 10th Pick in 2013 NHL Draft

With the 10th overall selection in the 2013 NHL Draft, the Dallas Stars selected right wing Valeri Nichushkin.

During the 2012-13 season, Nichushkin appeared in 18 games with Chelyabinsk (KHL) recording six points (4G-2A) and a +6 plus/minus rating. He also appeared in 25 playoff games for the club and notched nine points (6G-3A), reaching the KHL finals where they fell to Dynamo Moscow.

The 6-foot-3, 196-pound native of Chelyabinsk, Russia represented his home country at the 2013 World Junior Championship and finished with two points (1A-1G) in six games. He scored the game-winning goal in the bronze medal game against Canada.
