MONTREAL -- With the 83rd overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, the Stars selected George Fegaras from North York of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL).

"I said it probably a thousand times shaking everyone's hands, but it's just an honor," he said. "A dream come true. The dream has only started. All the hard work starts now."
Fegaras, 18, ranked third among OJHL defensemen in goals (13), assists (35) and points (48) in 52 games, and ranked second in power-play goals (6). He also recorded three points (one goal, two assists) in five playoff games.
The Richmond Hill, Ontario native will play for Muskegon in the USHL next season before playing college hockey at Cornell the following year.
