MONTREAL -- With the 115th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, the Stars selected Gavin White from Hamilton of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

In his first full season with the Bulldogs, White, 19, ranked fifth among OHL defensemen in assists (46) and eighth in points (56), and finished the 2021-22 campaign ranked tied for seventh among all players in plus-minus (+35). As a member of the OHL champion Bulldogs, White recorded nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 10 postseason games.
White scored the overtime-winning goal in Game 4 of the OHL championship vs. Windsor, a series the Bulldogs would win in seven games.

The 6-foot, 181-pound defenseman became the Stars' fourth blueliner picked in the 2022 NHL Draft, joining Lian Bichsel (18th overall), Christian Kyrou (50th overall) and George Fegaras (83rd overall).
