The Dallas Stars unveiled a new primary and secondary logo, along with a new color scheme and new uniform set as part of their sweeping rebrand and transformation on Tuesday night. Owner and Governor Tom Gaglardi revealed the new logo and uniform along with Stars President and CEO Jim Lites, General Manager Jim Nill, Executive Advisor Mike Modano, and Stars forward Jamie Benn at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas. It is the team's first major logo overhaul since the club moved from Minnesota to Texas in 1993.

"One of my goals since taking over as owner was to create a classic, simple, yet true-to-hockey look on par with both the League's Original Six designs and the best of the NHL," said Gaglardi. "To accomplish that goal, we went through one of the most extensive processes in League history, which lasted more than a year and yielded nearly 250 different logo and uniform combinations. Our final product reflects the very best of those efforts and proudly embodies the next generation of the Dallas Stars franchise."

By combining the team's two previous shades of green, Kelly and Forest, the club formed its new color, "Victory Green." Victory Green is accented by black, white and for the first time in franchise history, silver has been added to the team's color scheme. The Stars will be the only NHL club to feature green as their primary color in 2013-14.

Merchandise with the new Dallas Stars logo is now on sale at and will be available at the Dr Pepper StarCenter and American Airlines Center Team Stores beginning Wednesday morning. Reservations for the team's new home and road jerseys are being accepted at both Dr Pepper StarCenter and American Airlines Center Team Stores; and by calling 214-GO-STARS. This announcement was the final in a series that included the team holding their training camp in Fort Worth, along with the announcement of the club retiring Mike Modano's number 9.
