Dallas Stars Recall Forwards Brett Ritchie and Travis Morin From Texas Stars

Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled forwards Brett Ritchie and Travis Morin from the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Ritchie, 21, has appeared in 24 games with Texas this season, having recorded 18 points (11-7=18) and a team-leading +10 plus/minus rating. The forward has earned four points (3-1=4) in 10 games with Dallas this season.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound native of Orangeville, Ont. was selected by Dallas in the second round (44th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.

Morin, 31, currently shares ninth in the AHL and leads Texas with 40 points (15-25=40) in 39 games this season. He has posted 10 shots and a plus-1 rating in five games for Dallas.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound native of Brooklyn Park, Minn. was originally selected by Washington in the ninth round (263rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft, and was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 2, 2010.

The Stars also announced today that the team has placed forwards Tyler Seguin (lower body) and Patrick Eaves (concussion) on injured reserve, retroactive to Feb. 13.
