Stars recall center Roope Hintz from Texas

The 22-year-old has recorded two goals and three assists in 25 games with Dallas this season

FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled center Roope Hintz from the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Hintz, 22, has skated in 21 AHL contests with Texas this season and has recorded 22 points (9-13=22). He shares sixth on the club in goals (9) and eighth in power play goals (2). The forward has recorded five points (2-3=5) in 25 NHL contests with Dallas in 2018-19.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of Tampere, Finland was originally selected by Dallas in the second round (49th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
In a related move, the Dallas Stars have placed right wingTyler Pitlick on Injured Reserve (upper body) retroactive to Jan. 17.
