Stars recall center Joel L'Esperance from Texas

The 23-year-old has an AHL-leading 27 goals in 49 games with Dallas' top development affiliate this season

FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled center Joel L'Esperance from the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

L'Esperance, 23, leads the AHL with 27 goals and is tied for second in the League with 11 power-play goals so far in 2018-19. The center also leads Texas and ranks second among all AHL rookies with 42 points (27-15=42) in 49 games this season, while he paces League rookies and is tied for fifth among all AHL skaters with a team-leading five game-winning goals.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound native of Brighton, Mich. was originally undrafted and signed with Dallas as a free agent on July 1, 2018.
