Dallas Stars Recall Brenden Dillon, Scott Glennie and Jordie Benn

Frisco, TX – The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Brenden Dillon, forward Scott Glennie and defenseman Jordie Benn from the Texas Stars, Dallas’ primary affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Dillon, 21, has played in 72 games for Texas, scoring 5 goals and 21 assists for 26 points and 91 penalty minutes. He was signed to a three-year contract as a free agent on March 3, 2011. The 6-2, 198-pound defenseman played in 72 games with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL last season, scoring eight goals and 51 assists for 59 points.
Glennie, 21, has played in 68 games this season for Texas and has 12 goals and 25 assists for 37 points. The 6-1, 180-pound forward from Winnipeg, Manitoba was selected in the first round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (No. 8 overall).
Benn, 24, collected one assist in his two games for Dallas this season. He became the 10th player in Dallas Stars history to record his first NHL point in his first NHL game. Along with younger brother Jamie Benn, they became the third set of brothers in Dallas Stars history and the sixth in team history to play in an NHL game together.
The Dallas Stars will faceoff against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday at American Airlines Center (7 p.m. CT, TV: FOX Sports Southwest Plus; Radio: 1310 The Ticket).
