Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has reassigned goaltender Mike McKenna to the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

McKenna, 34, has posted a 14-9-4 record with a .908 save percentage and a 2.64 goals against average with one shutout in 29 appearances with Texas during the 2017-18 season.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound native of St. Louis, Mo. was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 1, 2017. McKenna was originally selected by Nashville in the sixth round (172nd overall) of the 2002 NHL Draft.
