Dallas Stars General ManagerJim Nill announced today that the club has re-signed defenseman Patrik Nemethto a one-year, $945,000 contract.
Nemeth, 25, posted three points (0-3=3) in a career-high 40 regular-season games for Dallas during 2016-17. He also matched his career-high with 47 blocked shots. The defenseman has appeared in 108 career regular-season games over four seasons, all with Dallas, recording 14 points (0-14=14). Nemeth has also appeared in five Stanley Cup Playoff games with Dallas, posting one shot, 17 hits and 10 blocked shots.

Nemeth has skated in 92 career American Hockey League games over parts of five seasons with Texas, tallying 24 points (4-20=24). He was also a member of the 2014 Calder Cup champion squad, posting five points (1-4=5) in 18 postseason contests, including the Calder Cup-clinching goal.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden was originally selected by Dallas in the second round (41st overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.
