Prospect Report: Caamano on impressive run for Hamilton

Stars forward prospect Nick Caamano is on an impressive run in the Ontario Hockey League. Caamano tallied three goals and one assist in two games this past week for Hamilton, running his point streak to 14 games (9 goals, 11 assists, 20 points).

The 19-year-old Caamano, a fifth-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, scored two goals Saturday in a 4-3 win over Flint, his former team, and extended his goal-scoring streak to four games.
Since being traded from Flint to Hamilton earlier this season, Caamano has scored in 15 of 16 games and has 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) and a plus-11 rating.
For the season, Caamano has 43 points (22 goals, 21 assists) in 39 games with both Hamilton and Flint and is tied for 11th in the OHL in goal scoring.

D Miro Heiskanen(1st round/2017) did not play last week with HIFK in Finland's top league due to an injury. Heiskanen apparently has been dealing with the injury for some time and played through it at the World Junior Championship earlier this month. He could return this week. HIFK has three games this week beginning on Tuesday. Heiskanen, who missed the first month of the season with a concussion, has 14 points (9 goals, 5 assists) in 20 games.

D Miro Karjalainen (5th round/2014) scored his first goal of the season for HPK in Finland's top league, but he also picked up 25 minutes in penalties in the game, including a major for a hit to the head. The league suspended Karjalainen three games for the hit. It's the third suspension of the season for the defenseman.
