Stars forward prospect Jason Robertson has a new team in the Ontario Hockey League, but nothing has changed when it comes to his production. He continues to rack up the goals and points.
Robertson, who was traded from Kingston to Niagara on Nov. 20, has tallied 14 points (4 goals, 10 assists) in five games since joining his new team. He made an impression in his first game with Niagara, picking up three assists in a 6-2 win over Barrie.
"Jason Robertson, at times, looks like a man among boys," Niagara coach Billy Burke told media after the game.

The 19-year-old Robertson, Dallas' second-round pick (39th overall) in the 2017 NHL Draft, has 52 points (27 goals, 25 assists) in 29 games, ranking second in the OHL in both goals and points. He leads the league with 10 power-play goals and ranks second with 152 shots on goal. Plus, he's currently on a 13-game point streak during which he has 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists).
The Robertson deal was a blockbuster and involved the high-scoring Dallas prospect and defenseman Jacob Paquette, who is a Nashville prospect, going from the Kingston Frontenacs to the Niagara IceDogs for two younger players and eleven draft picks.

Robertson knew that he was probably going to be traded with Kingston struggling this season and the team in need of future assets. What caught him off guard was the timing.
"When I got the news that I had been traded to Niagara I was stunned because it was a month before the trade deadline," Robertson told Niagara's official website. "But I am thrilled. Reality started to set in when I started to walk through the locker room. It's a new opportunity, a new spot for me to grow. I enjoyed my time in Kingston and was grateful for it, but I am looking forward to the new opportunity in Niagara."
The trade sent Robertson, who is in his final year of junior hockey, from last-place Kingston to a Niagara team that is among the best in the OHL's Eastern Conference, and that opens the door for the possibility of another good playoff run for Robertson, who made it to the Eastern Conference Final last season with Kingston.
"The farther you go in playoffs in your respective league, you're going against the top-end players," Robertson told the St. Catherines Standard. "Most of the guys you're going to be playing against in the latter stages of the season they will be going pro, too. It's always good to be going against the best players in terms of development.
"The opportunity I have in Niagara gives me a chance to do that."
