Stars defense prospect Miro Heiskanen has played well in his first three games for Team Finland at the Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Heiskanen, Dallas' first-round pick (third overall) in the 2017 NHL Draft, has no points in the three games, but he's been noticeable with his puck-moving prowess, ability to win puck battles and solid defensive play. He stepped up his offensive game in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Sweden, getting off some good chances and creating others for his teammates.
As Finland pressed for the tying goal late in Sunday's game, Heiskanen was on the ice. He logged 18:37 of ice time on Sunday -- the most he has played at the Olympics.

Stars coach Ken Hitchcock talked about Heiskanen after watching a period-and-a-half or so of Finland's first game of the tournament, a 5-2 win over Germany.
"He looks like on big ice he is a pretty good player. He obviously has a big ice game. For a young guy, he plays a very mature game. He doesn't get himself in any trouble," Hitchcock said. "He moves the puck well. He plays a low-risk game, and yet they use him on the second unit on the power play, and he's pretty effective. He plays a really smart, low-risk game, which I think is going to accelerate his advance into the National Hockey League.
"When you play almost error-free like he does, I think that is going to do nothing but make his opportunity to play in our league a lot quicker."
Finland went 2-1-0 in preliminary round play and will take on Korea in the qualification round on Tuesday. The winner of that game will play Canada in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
