Dallas Stars forward prospects Nick Caamano and Jason Robertson will square off in the Ontario Hockey League's Eastern Conference Championship Series, which gets underway later this week.

Caamano tallied five points (one goal, four assists) over the past week as Hamilton won three straight games to take its second-round series with Niagara, 4-1. Caamano scored the game-winning goal as the Bulldogs clinched the series with a 4-2 win on Thursday. It was the third game-winning goal of the playoffs for Caamano, who has tallied at least one point in each of his team's 10 playoff games this season.
Caamano, a fifth-round pick (146th overall) in 2016, has 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 10 playoff games. He is tied for ninth in the league in assists and 15th in points.
Robertson tallied one goal and one assist last week as Kingston won three straight games to take its second-round series against Barrie, 4-2. Both of Robertson's points came in Kingston's 7-1 win in Game 5 which gave it a 3-2 series lead. Robertson has tallied points in eight of his team's 11 playoff games.
Robertson, a second-round pick (39th overall) in 2017, has 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in 10 playoff games. He is tied for sixth in the league in playoff goal scoring and is tied for 12th in points.
Kingston and Hamilton begin their best-of-seven series for the conference championship on Wednesday.

North American Juniors

D Ondrej Vala(Free agent/2016) picked up two assists in three games as Everett advanced in the Western Hockey League playoffs, taking its second-round series against Portland in five games. Everett will play Tri-City in the WHL Western Conference Championship Series. Vala has five points (one goal, four assists) and a plus-10 rating in 10 playoff games.

Europe

D Miro Heiskanen(1st round/2017) tallied one goal and one assist in four games last week, but HIFK fell to Karpat in the semifinals of the Finnish League playoffs, Heiskanen's goal came in HIFK's 4-1 victory in Game 4 which tied the series 2-2. Karpat won the seventh and deciding game, 2-1. Heiskanen has one postseason game remaining as HIFK will play TPS in a bronze medal game Friday. The 18-year-old Heiskanen has nine points (three goals, six assists) in 14 playoff games, ranking first among all Finnish League defensemen in playoff scoring. His 26:29 of ice time per game is tops among all players.

LW Valeri Nichushkin(1st round/2013) scored CSKA's lone goal in a 2-1 loss to AK Bars in Game 1 of the Gagarin Cup Final in the KHL. Nichushkin has 9 points (3 goals, 6 assists) in 17 playoff games.

LW Riley Tufte(1st round/2016) tallied 29 points (16 goals, 13 assists) in 42 games for Minnesota Duluth, which won the NCAA championship. Tufte, a sophomore, led the Bulldogs in goal scoring and shots on goal (131).

RW Tony Calderone (Free agent/2018) signed as a free agent with Dallas after concluding the season with the University of Michigan, where he tallied 45 points (25 goals, 20 assists) in 40 games, leading the Wolverines in goal scoring and ranking fifth nationally. He signed an amateur tryout with the Texas Stars of the AHL after signing with Dallas.
C/LW Rhett Gardner (4th round/2016) tallied 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) in 33 games with North Dakota. Gardner, a junior, won 58.6 percent of his faceoffs (459 of 783).

LW/C Fredrik Karlstrom (3rd round/2016) played primarily in the Swedish Hockey League where he had five points (two goals, three assists) in 35 games. He didn't play towards the end of the season due to a shoulder injury which had plagued him earlier in the season as well. Karlstrom also played at the 2018 World Junior Championship, recording three assists in seven games as Sweden took home the silver medal.
