MONTREAL -- Dallas Stars general manager Jim Nill and director of amateur scouting Joe McDonnell concluded the 2022 NHL Draft by selecting five players on Friday. Below is a review of all six picks from the two-day draft at Bell Centre in Montreal.

Lian Bichsel - Defenseman (Round 1, 18th overall)

The 6-foot-5, 216-pound defenseman spent the majority of the 2021-22 campaign with Leksand of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), posting three points (one goal, two assists) in 29 games. He also appeared in 11 games with Leksand's junior team, earning seven points (three goals, four assists).
"It's just an amazing feeling," said Bichsel. "I'm a bit surprised to go to Dallas, but I'm proud to be a Dallas player."

Christian Kyrou - Defenseman (Round 2, 50th overall)

Kyrou ranked fourth among OHL defensemen with 60 points (18 goals, 42 assists) with the Otters in the 2021-22 season. He also ranked tied for third among league d-men in game-winning goals (four).
"It's pure excitement right now," Kyrou said. "I've waited for this moment for a long time. I'm just excited to hear my name called. It's been a roller coaster of events. I'm embracing the moment."
The 5-foot-10, 182-pound Toronto, Ontario native was voted the Western Conference's Most Underrated Player in the 2021-22 OHL Coaches Poll. His 60 points were the most by an Otters defenseman since Darren Raddysh in 2016-17 (81 points in 62 GP).

George Fegaras - Defenseman (Round 3, 83rd overall)

Fegaras ranked third among OJHL defensemen in goals (13), assists (35) and points (48) in 52 games and ranked second in power-play goals (6). He also recorded three points (one goal, two assists) in five playoff games.

Gavin White - Defenseman (Round 4, 115th overall)

In his first full season with the Bulldogs, White ranked fifth among OHL defensemen in assists (46) and eighth in points (56) and finished the 2021-22 campaign ranked tied for seventh among all players in plus-minus (+35). As a member of the OHL champion Bulldogs, White recorded nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 10 postseason games.

Maxim Mayorov - Goaltender (Round 5, 147th overall)

Mayorov fashioned a 14-10-2 record, 2.16 goals-against average and .931 save percentage in 32 appearances with Togliatti in the 2021-22 season. The 6-foot-6, 196-pound netminder also played for Togliatti's U18 and U16 teams from 2019-22.

Matthew Seminoff - Right wing (Round 6, 179th overall)

Seminoff scored a career-high 26 goals with the Blazers last season and finished fifth on the team with 57 points in 64 games. He added nine points (six goals, three points) in 17 playoff games.
