DALLAS -- It was indeed a rare sight seeing the Stars trailing by a goal to the Columbus Blue Jackets, but the final score was something we've seen quite often of late: a Stars victory.

Down by a goal late in the second period, Tyler Seguin and Jason Robertson scored in a 49-second span to turn a one-goal deficit into a one-goal lead. The rest, they say, is history.
Dallas locked it down in the third and prevailed 3-2 for its sixth straight win and eighth in its past nine games. It also marked the Stars' seventh consecutive victory at American Airlines Center.
Here are the five takeaways of the game.

Robertson nets 2 goals in 3-2 win over Blue Jackets

MAKING HISTORY

With Robertson's goal 68 seconds after the opening puck drop, the Stars became the first team in NHL history to score within the first 75 seconds in four consecutive games.
Here's a look at the opening goals from the Stars over the past four games:
Nov. 26 vs. Colorado (1:12)
Nov. 27 at Arizona (0:54)
Nov. 30 vs. Carolina (1:13)
Dec. 2 vs. Columbus (1:08)

HOW QUICKLY THINGS CAN CHANGE

In almost the blink of an eye, the Stars went from trailing by a goal to leading by one in the late stages of the second period. Just 49 seconds after Seguin tied the game, Robertson struck on a 2-on-1 to send the crowd at American Airlines Center into a frenzy.
Seguin's game-tying marker was a big one for him, as it ended a streak of seven games without a goal. Sometimes all it takes is one to open the floodgates. In this case, a deflection off his shin guard and in.

PAVELSKI'S FILTHY DANGLE PLACES HIM IN RARE COMPANY

After Joe Pavelski basically undressed Sean Kuraly with a move that'll bring a tear to anyone's eye, his assist on Robertson's goal placed him in company reserved for only the most experienced of players.
Per NHL Stats, Pavelski became the 11th different player in NHL history to record multiple points in four consecutive games at age 37 or older and the first since Cliff Ronning in 2003-04 (4 GP from March 11-17, 2004).
Pavelski's multi-point performance Thursday gave him nine points (three goals, six assists) over his four-game streak and 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) in 21 games this season.
In addition, Pavelski joined Toronto's John Tavares (4 GP), Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl (4 GP), Colorado's Nazem Kadri (5 GP) and Edmonton's Connor McDavid (6 GP) as the only players this season to have recorded multi-point games in at least four consecutive games.

BENN GOES FULL WRECKING BALL

The captain wasn't taking any prisoners on Thursday, using every chance he got to lower the boom on the Blue Jackets. It started with a crushing hit along the boards on Jakub Voracek. Then, he was tagged with a boarding penalty on Oliver Bjorkstrand. (Fortunately Bjorkstrand wasn't injured). Finally, he leveled Adam Boqvist along the glass in the third period.

'GOOD TEAMS FIND WAYS TO WIN'

Those were the words of Stars head coach Rick Bowness earlier this week, and Thursday showcased the team's mettle. It's been a while since the Stars faced a deficit, so the way they responded late in the second period was huge.
It restored a one-goal lead, which the Stars held until the final buzzer. The loss gave the Blue Jackets three-straight defeats for the first time this season.
