Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that forward Colton Sceviour has been assigned to the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Sceviour, 24, scored his first career NHL goal on Dec. 14, 2013 at Winnipeg. The 6-foot, 200-pound forward has skated in seven games for Dallas this season, registering four points (3-1=4), 21 shots and a plus-1 rating. The native of Red Deer, Alta., leads the AHL in goal scoring with 18 tallies and ranks second in points among all Texas Stars (18-12=30). Sceviour was Dallas' fourth-round selection (112th overall) in the 2007 NHL Draft.
