Dallas Stars President and CEO Jim Lites, in conjunction with FOX Sports Southwest Senior Vice President and General Manager Jon Heidtke, and Vice President and Market Manager of Cumulus Media, Dallas/Fort Worth Dan Bennett announced today the club's 2015-16 regular-season broadcast schedule. Seventy-nine of the team's 82 regular season contests will be televised locally in high-definition on FOX Sports Southwest with 20 of those scheduled to air on FOX Sports Southwest PLUS.
In addition to the games being televised locally, a total of three Stars games will be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports Network: Oct. 20 at Philadelphia, Feb. 9 at Minnesota and Feb. 16 at St. Louis.
FOX Sports Southwest returns for its 23rd year broadcasting Stars telecasts, featuring 79 games this season beginning with the season-opener on Thursday, Oct. 8 when the Stars host the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7:30 p.m.
Dave Strader and Daryl "Razor" Reaugh begin their first season together as the Stars' television and radio team. Reaugh is set to serve in his 20th season as the team's color analyst and Strader joins the Stars broadcast team after most recently handling play-by-play duties for NBCSN's NHL regular-season and Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage since the 2011-12 season.
FOX Sports Southwest's comprehensive coverage includes "Stars Live" pregame and postgame shows before and after every game, hosted by Josh Bogorad and joined by a rotating panel including Brent Severyn, Craig Ludwig, Stu Barnes and Julie Dobbs. Other Stars related programming on FOX Sports Southwest includes "Stars Insider", a weekly magazine show.
Sportsradio 1310 and 96.7 FM The Ticket enters its seventh season as the flagship home of Dallas Stars hockey and will broadcast all 82 regular-season games, as well as the team's final home preseason contest on Sept. 29 against the St. Louis Blues. Bruce LeVine enters his sixth season co-hosting Dallas' pre-game, intermission and post-game radio shows. Joining LeVine in his second season as Dallas Stars radio co-host will be Owen Newkirk. The all-sports station broadcasts on both 1310 AM and 96.7 FM.
