The Dallas Stars Alumni Association (DSAA) will host the third annual BOXX Modular Dallas Stars Alumni Game presented by Texas Land and Cattle on Saturday, Feb. 27. The game will begin at 6 p.m. following the Stars game against the New York Rangers. This year's game will include military members from Defending The Blue Line playing alongside of the Stars Alumni.
Prior to the Alumni Game, Stars Alumni including Belfour, Ludwig, Turco and defenseman Shawn Chambers will take part in a panel discussion on AT&T Plaza hosted by Dave Strader beginning at 1:30 p.m. The discussion is free and open to the public and will include autograph opportunities from Stars Alumni including Greg Adams, Jason Arnott, Stu Barnes, Bob Bassen, Dan Blackburn, Gerald Diduck, Bill Huard, Jere Lehtinen, Al Secord, and Brent Severyn. Players are scheduled to appear and subject to change.
Any ticket to the afternoon game against the New York Rangers serves as admission to the Alumni Game.
Over the last two years, the DSAA has raised over $40,000 in support of local hockey players through the annual game, with all proceeds benefiting the Texas hockey community. Made up of former Dallas Stars and local NHL alumni, the DSAA uses hockey as a vehicle to serve the local community. As ambassadors of the sport, DSAA members act as role models, support charitable initiatives, and promote the growth of hockey throughout the Texas region.
