Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has activated forward Jiri Hudler from Injured Reserve and reassigned forward Justin Dowling to the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
Hudler, 32, missed the last five games due to illness. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Olomouc, Czech Republic has appeared in two games for the Stars this season and has not recorded a point.
Dowling, 26, appeared in two games for Dallas and recorded one assist (0-1=1). He made his NHL debut on Oct. 25 and registered his first NHL point with an assist vs. Winnipeg. His eight points in five games with Texas this season are tied for first on the team.
The 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Cochrane, Alberta was signed as an undrafted free agent by Dallas on March 26, 2014.
