Bully-Proof Night is this Tuesday

by Staff Writer / Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars Hockey Club and the Dallas Stars Foundation have joined the effort to wipe out bullying in our schools and among our youth.

The hockey club and Foundation officially endorse and support Bully Proof USA - a non-profit foundation that is committed to battling bullying in schools across America.

Bully Proof presents a leading-edge national school assembly program that is designed to inspire young people to courageously stand up to bullying. The organization’s mission is simple – “Securing America’s future by bully-proofing our schools one student at a time through education and awareness.” Bully Proof wants to encourage millions of young people to raise a united voice in the hallways of America that is loud and strong: “Not in my school!”

This Tuesday, April 5, at the game between the Stars and Columbus Blue Jackets (Get Tickets), Bully Proof will be giving away 200 copies of its brand new book, "NOT IN MY SCHOOL!" to students during the game on the main concourse near section 101. Fans are encouraged to come by and pick up a book and talk with some of the Bully Proof representatives.

Dallas Stars and NHL Alumni players have also gotten involved in the cause. Nine former players will be signing autographs at Tuesday’s game in the first intermission at the book distribution location. The players will be autographing an exclusive 8 x 10 Bully Proof card that features action shots from their NHL career.

Players scheduled to sign autographs include: Bob Bassen, Gerald Diduck, Steve Duchesne, Steve Dykstra, Bill Huard, Brett Hull, Jere Lehtinen, Andy Moog, and Landon Wilson. Please note: autographs will be limited to the first 200 fans because of time constraints.
