The division leading Stars continue a five-game road swing with games against the New York Rangers, New York Islanders & New Jersey Devils this week. Get a glimpse of what went on behind the scenes as the team travels to the East Coast.

10:50 pm - Sheldon Souray, girlfriend Barbara "Kelly Kelly" Blank and good friend John McEnroe talk with Mark Messier after the game.

10:12 pm - Brenden Morrow takes a phone call before heading back to the hotel.

10:08 pm - Steve Ott gets introduced to a friend of a friend; New York is a popular spot for friends and family to come support the team.

10:06 pm - Assistant GM Frank Provenzano talks with Richard Bachman after the game.

9:56 pm - After a hard-fought, grinding team victory, Coach Glen Gulutzan said, "We have to play hard to win, and we're accepting that game to game. Teams that stick with it the longest are the teams that will stand at the end, so we just have to stick with it.''

9:48 pm - Brenden Morrow waits to cool down on the bike until Richard Bachman's interview wraps up.

9:46 pm - The Dallas Stars' gear is packed and ready to get loaded on the truck and hauled to Long Island.

9:44 pm - Richard Bachman fields questions from the media.

9:38 pm - Richard Bachman with the game puck after earning his first NHL shutout in only his second NHL start.

9:33 pm - Richard Bachman heads off the ice having allowed just one goal on 76 shots faced in his young NHL career.

9:31 pm - With 1:30 remaining, the Rangers call a timeout and brings Bachman to the bench.

9:28 pm - As the clock wound down, all eyes were on Richard Bachman, who was bidding for his first NHL shutout.

9:23 pm - The Stars celebrate Trevor Daley finally solving Henrik Lundqvist. The Stars lead 1-0.



9:15 pm - Head Trainer, Dave Zeis, hands gloves that need to be put on the dryer to Dennis Soetaert.

9:11 pm - Mike Ribeiro comes back to the bench after being stopped by Henrik Lundqvist.

9:09 pm - With the game still scoreless, Richard Bachman swallows a rebound early in the thrid period.

9:04 pm - Tennis icon, John McEnroe, and New York Ranger legend Ron Duguay watched the third period from the Zamboni tunnel.

8:43 pm - The in-arena production crew stages their longest season-seat holders before a ceremony to honor them.

8:37 pm - After the second period ended, Richard Bachman stayed in his crease to get a drink.

8:36 pm - Brenden Morrow, who finished with one assist, battles for position in front of the net.


8:29 pm - The Stars apply some offensive pressure as the second period winds down.

8:15 pm - "It felt like the whole shoulder was a couple feet behind me,” Henrik Lundqvist said after taking a Sheldon Souray shot in his shoulder.

8:09 pm - Tom Wandell comes out of the penalty box after serving two minutes for hooking early in the second period.

8:04 pm - Eric Nystrom and Vernon Fiddler pour over the boards on a line change.

7:43 pm - The coaches head back to the room after a scoreless first period.

7:30 pm - Richard Bachman picks up his helmet after a collision with Carl Hagelin.

7:20 pm - Steve Sumner repairs a broken skate halfway through the first period.

7:13 pm - Vernon Fiddler takes an early first period draw in the Stars zone; he finished 7-7 in the face-off circle for the night.

7:09 pm - The starting line-up stands at the blue line for the National Anthem.

7:05 pm - Bachman shakes his legs out prior to leading the Stars out onto the ice.

6:40 pm - Dallas Stars fans Casey Collins, brothers Chris and Jon Rubio and Alisha Feltes watch warm-ups at MSG; they travelled from Ft. Worth and Midland to see their favorite team on the road for the first time.

6:17 pm - Lacing up for warm-ups.

5:55 pm - Jake Dowell pulls his hood down after costing his team a point.


5:50 pm - "Donkey Ball" is in full swing.

5:23 pm - Stephen Murphy, the anthem singer for the evening, rehearses from the Zamboni tunnel.

5:19 pm - Richard Bachman finds an out of the way spot to go through his pre-game routine.

5:17 pm - Brenden Morrow does an interview with Kenny Albert for the MSG Network.

5:05 pm - The Stars' game-ready sticks are carried out to the bench.

5:01 pm - Tom Wandell shapes the blade of his stick.

4:46 pm - Madison Square Garden, the most famous arena in the world.

4:39 pm - Our bus driver, Jackie, navigates 7th Avenue. He's been driving NHL teams visiting New York for thirty years.

4:24 pm - Tom Wandell, Jamie Benn and Nicklas Grossman grab coffees before taking the team bus to MSG.

12:37 pm - Coach Gulutzan fields questions from the media.

12:33 pm - Toby Petersen stayed on the ice to work on puck handling with Assistant Coach Willie Desjardins.

12:05 pm - Richard Bachman steps off the ice.

11:59 am - Richard Bachman swallows a puck. All eyes are on the guys in net as Bachman, an NHL newcomer who has allowed just one goal on 42 shots, faces off against Henrik Lundqvist who has a 10-2-1 record with a 1.91 GAA in his last 13 games.

11:59 am - Stu Barnes works on faceoffs with Steve Ott and Vernon Fiddler.

11:57 am - Mark Fistric, who is serving the final game of his three-game suspension, lines up for a drill at the blue line.

11:52 am - Steve Ott chirps at linemate Mike Ribeiro while the team stretches at center ice.




11:42 am - Richard Bachman goes behind his net to retrieve a puck.


11:36 am - Sean Avery, the man who made acquiring Stars leading goal scorer Eric Nystrom possible, runs stairs in Madison Square Garden.
