Annual Dallas Stars Casino Night is fast approaching

by Julie Dobbs / Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars are in the home stretch of this 2011 season, but their biggest off-ice event is yet to come.  The 13th Annual Dallas Stars Casino Night is fast approaching, and will fall on March 24th, 2011, at the conclusion of  the Stars’ longest home stand of the year.  This year’s event will be held in Plano at the Park Place Jaguar Dealership, and it is shaping up to be the best one yet.

Casino Night is the Dallas Stars Foundation’s biggest event of the year, and it is always a hit with the fans and players alike. Fans get the chance to mingle with the whole team and try their luck at the tables with Stars players who serve as guest dealers. The casino games consist of Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, and Texas Hold ‘em, and this will be the first year where fans can up the ante and take part in a private game of High Stakes Poker with their favorite Stars players!

The event will also feature a lavish silent auction with great items from Dallas’s finest shops, hotels, and restaurants, weekend getaways, and autographed sports memorabilia.  In addition to the silent auction, a live auction with exclusive Dallas Stars experiences will take place at the event with Ralph and Razor playing the role of auctioneers. Some of the great packages up for auction include the opportunity to travel with the team to Prince Edward Island for 2011-2012 training camp, a South African hunting/safari trip donated by Katzke Safaris, a one hour private hockey lesson with Stars Captain Brenden Morrow and Assistant Coach Stu Barnes, a birthday party at Dr Pepper Arena with Steve Ott and Trevor Daley, dinner at Ocean Prime with Adam Burish and Jamie Benn.

Dinner will be provided courtesy of Dallas Chop House and Dallas Fish Market. The 13th annual Casino Night will be held on Thursday, March 24th from 7-11pm, and dress for the event is cocktail attire. Tickets are on sale now- call 214- Go-Stars, or simply click here.

All proceeds will benefit the Dallas Stars Foundation.
