2016 Dallas Stars Foundation Casino Night a success

by Dallas Stars Staff / Dallas Stars
The Dallas Stars Foundation held the 17th Annual Casino Night presented by Park Place Lexus on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. The Dallas Stars players, coaches and personalities, along with more than 700 fans sold out the popular event, and helped raise over $300,000 for the Dallas Stars Foundation.

The Fire & Ice themed event took place at Park Place Lexus Plano where guests were greeted by fire jugglers as they stepped out of their cars onto the red carpet. Fans enjoyed interacting with their favorite Stars players, as they served as casino dealers to guests, playing Blackjack, Poker, Craps and Roulette. When guests weren’t busy at the blackjack tables they enjoyed live painatings by Elliot From with Art Beat Live, and music by DJ Souljah with DJvsViolin while enjoying elegant cuisine from III Forks and an open bar featuring Estancia Wines.

Fans also got a chance to enjoy a Whiskey Tasting by Jack Daniels with a cigar roller on site and take pictures with their favorite players in the photo booth. They also had the opportunity to win a beautiful one carat diamond at the Moscow Mule Diamond Bar presented by J. Patrick Diamonds.

Attendees participated in a silent auction, which featured a wide range of items including autographed memorabilia, a trip to Puerto Rico, a cast-signed Star Wars Poster, Player’s Favorites Baskets, an ESPYs experience, and various concert packages.

The evening concluded with a live auction where guests bid on one-of-a-kind experiences such as traveling with the Stars on a two-game road trip, a trip with the team to Nashville to watch the Stars game and visit the Jack Daniel’s Distillery. Additionally, the auction offered a chance to go to Top Golf with Tyler Seguin and Jason Demers and the opportunity to watch a Texas Rangers game from a suite with Jamie Benn and other Dallas Stars Players.

“Our 17th Annual Casino Night presented by Park Place Lexus was one of our most successful events to date and will allow us to put over $300,000 back into the community through our programs, grants for area non-profits and scholarships,” Dallas Stars Foundation Executive Director Jessica Dunn said. “We cannot thank our Foundation supporters, our Foundation Stars volunteers, our Stars fans and the amazing corporate sponsors for helping make this event such a success.”
