Two Veterans Set To Return on Thursday

by San Jose Sharks Staff / San Jose Sharks
All signs at the Sharks morning skate in Edmonton today pointed to the return of Marcel Goc and Rob Blake to the lineup, providing some much needed relief to a club severely hit by injuries.

In a related move, the Sharks have reassigned center Tom Cavanagh to the Worcester Sharks, San Jose’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.  A return by Blake could make Alexei Semenov the odd man out on the blueline against the Oilers.

Cavanagh, 27, has played in 17 games with San Jose this season, posting two points (one goal, one assist) and two penalty minutes. He scored his first NHL goal on March 28 vs. Phoenix.

In another note, Ryane Clowe and Torrey Mitchell are on the trip and skating.  Check out the Seagate Broadcaster Blog for some video.
