#TwitterTales: #SJSharks at Canucks and a story with a whole lot of the number two. http://t.co/zPfYuexMzZ
— San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) November 16, 2013
Even though we are only 43 days into the season, last night marked the fourth and final meeting of the Pacific Division rivals. The Sharks faced the Canucks just last week at home and lost 4-2, breaking a nine-game winning streak (including playoffs) against Vancouver so they were looking to bounce back. The team was hot off a 3-2 OT win in Calgary so things were looking promising. It was a slow start indeed but thanks to a late game-tying goal from a rookie and an OT game-winner from a veteran, the Sharks add another OT win to the list and gained 2 points.
The question on everyone's mind:
The answer for now:
Morning Skate gets delayed due to captain's orders.
Meanwhile, rookie Tomas Hertl is smiling as usual.
After sitting out Tuesday night's game, Nemo is back in net.
The first 20 minutes were relatively quiet and quick.
Coaches discuss strategy ...
A special guest was present at the game: Gordie Howe. Mr. Hockey gets a well-deserved standing ovation from fans in the crowd.
Sharks offense decided to hold off on the scoring for awhile. Thanks Nemo.
Dinner proposals start to take place in exchange for a Sharks goal.
This is odd. Pavelski throwing a punch?
Two minutes to go in the 3rd. Did you guys know that Luongo has never had a shutout against the Sharks? Wouldn't want to jinx it ...
Some of our Sharks fans our psychic.
#NinjaHertl to the rescue!
Even though Luongo tweeted this after Hertl's 4-goal night vs the Rangers ... Time to add him to the list of goalies who have fallen to #HertlPower.
Thornton, you are amazing, always.
It wouldn't be Sharks hockey without a little overtime, right? Unfortunate call for the Canucks. Fortunate call for the Sharks
Sharks broadcasters Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda: "... Here's Couture, far side Boyle shoots ... SCORESSS ... no no no no .... wait." Red light doesn't go off. Refs don't indicate it's a goal but Sharks think they've won. Time to review it ... what else is new?
Apparently the number 2 is VERY lucky.
A hockey OT win and a basketball win at the buzzer. Great night for Bay Area sports teams I'd say.
#SJSharks becomes a trending topic in the US. Thanks Sharks fans!
