Its Halloween night and you: a) Are worried your kids might be the bullied or have their precious candy stolen? b) Want your kids to be the hit of the neighborhood? c) Need an extra hand to carry all of the loot? d) All of the above?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then the San Jose Sharks and the Sharks Foundation have the solution for you. For one night only, your children can have a 7'2" tall adopted big brother (a.k.a. SJ Sharkie) go house to house with them.
During the San Jose Sharks Home games on Oct 28 and 30 the Sharks foundation silent auction will be offering up the opportunity to have S.J. Sharkie join your Halloween night trick-or-treating as a guest chaperone. Money raised by bidding on this unique opportunity to trick-or-treat with Sharkie will assist Bay Area youth through the Sharks Foundation and its Grant Program.
If you are the winning bidder, Sharkie will come to visit your home and neighborhood on October 31st from 5p.m. to 6 p.m. to go trick-or-treating with your children. Also included is a sharks gift pack that includes a retro sharks lunchbox/thermos, a Sharks Rubik's cube, a Sharkie Bobble Head and a Sharks hat. In addition, all candy collected by Sharkie at the end of the night will be left behind for your child.
Stop by the Sharks Foundation booth on the main concourse of the HP Pavilion at San Jose to place your bid. The Foundation booth can be found outside section 124. This opportunity is available to children under 12 years old, and a parent/guardian chaperone must be present during the trick-or-treating. Winning bidder will be contacted via email following the game on the 30th to finalize the event and receive details of location. Due to travel reasons, this opportunity is available to residences within Santa Clara County. NO Fax, Phone, Mailed or Email bids will be accepted.
