Toys For Tots Drive Dec. 16

by Staff Writer / San Jose Sharks
The Toys For Tots Toy Drive will take place at HP Pavilion during the Sharks home game on Dec. 16 (vs. Washington). Hockey fans can bring new and unwrapped toys and monetary donations to the North and South Entrances prior to the start of the game. With your generous donation, you will be provided a raffle ticket for a prize drawing of team memorabilia to be held that night and a coupon for the Sharks team store.

Operation Care and Comfort provides support to deployed U.S. military service members, serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and conflict regions, by sending care packages containing needed items. OCC ships to these units on a monthly basis, until they return home, then adopts another unit to take their place. You can help by donating items at the Sharks game on Friday, December 16 at the North or South entrance. The most needed items are beef or turkey Jerky, DVDs (especially comedies), CDs, individual sized packs of snack foods (nuts, cookies, crackers, seeds), AAA and AA batteries, toothbrushes and travel sized toothpaste and floss, hand warmers, hot drink mixes (cocoa, tea, packets of coffee), energy, protein, and breakfast bars, gum and mints. Can't make the game? Donate your tickets to an active service member by contacting Julie Demaria at 408.373.8635 or email Julie at
