Sharks winger Ryane Clowe
was involved in an early morning incident and the team has released the following statements from Clowe and Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson.
Statement from Ryane Clowe
“I would like to apologize to the San Jose Sharks organization, my teammates and especially our fans for my actions last night. For situations like I faced last evening, our team has a very clear alternative transportation policy in place. I failed to follow it and for that I am deeply sorry. I am embarrassed by what happened but take full responsibility for this regrettable mistake."
Statement from Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson.;
“We are aware of the off-ice incident involving Ryane Clowe
that occurred last night. While we are extremely disappointed by his error in judgment, Ryane has stepped up and acknowledged that he made a serious mistake and is preparing to take responsibility for his actions. We will remain supportive of Ryane and will treat this as an internal matter moving forward."
