SAN JOSE, California
– Sims Recycling Solutions, the global leader in electronics reuse and recycling, is preparing for the final electronics recycling event of the season with the San Jose Sharks. Unlike previous events, Sims Recycling Solutions is teaming with Sims Metal Management to not only collect electronics for recycling, but appliances as well. This event will be held in the main parking lot (Lot ABC) at HP Pavilion at San Jose located at 525 West Santa Clara Street, San Jose, CA on March 17, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Everyone who drops off an item to recycle will be able to watch the Sharks pre-game morning skate and will also be entered into a drawing for a chance to win exclusive autographed Shark’s merchandise and memorabilia.
“Sims Recycling Solutions is pleased to be partnering with Sims Metal Management for our final electronics collection event of the season. This offers the residents of San Jose a convenient opportunity to recycle not only their unwanted electronic devices, but also their old appliances,” stated Steve Skurnac, President, Sims Recycling Solutions, Americas. “Electronic devices and appliances have materials that can be recovered during recycling and used in new ways. By choosing to recycle these items during this event, residents can be sure they are doing their part to protect the environment and conserve natural resources.”
This e-waste collection event will be set up as a drive-through and drop-off event. Staff will be on hand to conveniently and quickly collect items from community members’ vehicles. For those who plan to recycle a monitor or television, please print and complete the collection log found at the www.us.simsrecycling.com/sharks
website to ensure faster processing.
Sims Recycling Solutions will accept the following: computers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, PDAs, cell phones, telephones, televisions, radios, stereos, speakers, MP3 players, CD and DVD players, VCRs, clean metal free of debris and fluids and appliances.
