Sharks to Recognize Employees with 25 Years of Service to the Organization

SAN JOSE — The San Jose Sharks (@sanjosesharks) announced today that, in conjunction with their season-long 25th Anniversary celebration, employees who have been a part of the franchise since its inaugural season in 1991-‘92 will be recognized in a special, pregame ceremony prior to the home game vs. the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, March 15 at 7 p.m.

Individuals who will be recognized include: Pat Funk, Amateur Scout; Jim Goddard, Executive Vice President of Business and Building Operations; Randy Hahn, Television Play-by-Play Announcer; Dan Rusanowsky, Radio Play-by-Play Announcer; Joe Will, Assistant General Manager of the Sharks and General Manager of the San Jose Barracuda, the Sharks AHL affiliate.

“We are proud to recognize these five dedicated employees during this season-long 25th anniversary celebration,” said John Tortora, Chief Operating Officer of Sharks Sports & Entertainment. “Just as we have acknowledged our former players throughout the season, it is important that we acknowledge individuals who have devoted much of their careers to this franchise. I personally thank them for their commitment and service to the Sharks organization.”

In addition to the pregame ceremony, each employee will receive a Sharks 25th Anniversary commemorative piece of jewelry from local jeweler Ceci Wong, a vacation for two, and dinner in The Grill at SAP Center prior to the game.

“Over the past 25 years, each of the individuals being honored tonight has represented the Sharks organization with class and has made a positive impact on the success of the franchise both on and off the ice,” added Sharks Executive Vice President General Manger Doug Wilson. “We are very lucky to have worked alongside each of these very talented individuals.”

The Sharks 25th Anniversary season continues at home tonight at 7 p.m. vs. the Boston Bruins and continues throughout the month of March with home games on March 19 vs. the New York Rangers (Jeff Odgers Alumnus Night), March 20 vs. the Arizona Coyotes (Marcus Ragnarsson Alumnus Night), March 22 vs. the St. Louis Blues, March 24 vs. the Edmonton Oilers, March 26 vs. the Dallas Stars (Douglas Murray Alumnus Night), March 28 vs. Los Angeles Kings and March 31 vs. the Vancouver Canucks (Scott Hannan Alumnus Night).
