by Staff Writer / San Jose Sharks
The San Jose Sharks and the Sharks ECHL affiliate Fresno Falcons announced today that the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif. will play host to a preseason game between the Sharks and the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 7:30 PM.

The game will mark the third time in team history that they will have played a preseason game in Fresno. The previous times were Sept. 17, 1991 against Los Angeles (1-1 tie) and Sept. 26, 1996 against Colorado (0-0 tie), both at Selland Arena.

The Sharks were set to play a preseason game in Fresno before the 2004-05 season, but due to the lockout, the game was cancelled.

Other non-NHL venues Team Teal has played preseason games at in the past include the Oakland Arena in 2000, the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas in 2001, Arco Arena in Sacramento in 2003, as well as the Rosegarden in Portland, OR in 2003.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at the Save Mart Center Box Office, select Save Mart Supermarkets, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at 559.485-TIXS (8497).

Ticket prices range from $78.75 (front row), to $48.75 (sideline lower bowl), $34.75 (end lower bowl) and $20.75 (upper bowl).
