Sharks to Auction Veteran's Day Practice Jerseys

by San Jose Sharks Staff / San Jose Sharks
SAN JOSE, California – On Sat., Nov. 5th prior to the Sharks/Nashville Predators game, all San Jose Sharks players wore one-of-a-kind jerseys to honor our veterans during the morning skate at HP Pavilion.

The jerseys will be autographed by the respective players and sold via blind auction at The Sharks Foundation booth, located at the North Entrance East Side Stairs during the Sharks vs. Minnesota Wild game on Thurs., Nov. 10 and the Sharks vs. Phoenix Coyotes game on Sat., Nov. 12.

This year, the Sharks Foundation will continue to host an online auction for those fans that are not in attendance for the two games. From Nov. 10 to Nov. 18, one jersey (Brent Burns, #88) will be available online for fans to bid on. The link for the online auction will be available on the Sharks Foundation website on November 10th.

For this special occasion jersey auction, a portion of the proceeds from the Veterans Day Jersey sale will be donated to Operation: Care and Comfort- a San Jose based 501(c)3 organization, to support local military children and their families during the holidays. Operation: Care and Comfort's Adopt-a-Military Family program allows individuals, companies and organizations to anonymously adopt and support a local military family throughout the year.
