1. Datsyuk (3 Assists, +2)
2. Pavelski (Goal, +1, 6 shots)

Couple notes:  Kronwall had a really strong effort for Detroit, was probably their best player other than Datsyuk.  He finished a +1 in a team leading 24:52 of ice time, blocked three shots, had two hits, a goal and an assist.

Pavelski, Boyle, Setoguchi and Couture all fired a team high six shots in the game.

Clowe notched an assist, trying him for the league lead with 13 points in the playoffs (4-9-13).

Thornton has ten points in the last nine games (2-8-10).

Franzen did not take a shift over the last seven minutes of the second period and did not get on the ice during the third period.

20:00  It's over at HP Pavilion and the Red Wings stay alive with a tremendous third period comeback and a 4-3 win.  San Jose had a 3-1 lead early in the third, but the Red Wings rally and send the series back to Detroit with the Sharks now leading 3-2.  The Red Wings scored three goals on six shots in the period as San Jose outshot Detroit 12-6 in the period and 42-22 for the game.

18:45 Niemi pulled for an extra attacker.

3:43 Red Wings pull back to with-in a goal and stay in the game.  Datsyuk from below the goaline flips a backhand toward the slot and Zetterberg taps the puck over to an open Ericsson pinching in and lifted the puck over Niemi who was down along the ice.  Both Detroit goals have come from their defense.
DET E Goal: Ericsson (1)  A: Zetterberg (5), Datsyuk 2(9) at 3:43  3-2 SJ

3:25 Heatley comes out of the box after another strong penalty kill.

1:25 Heatley is called for high-sticking Filppula in the neutral zone sending the Red Wings on their second power play.

0:54 Couture with a pretty move to make it 3-1 Sharks.  Heatley along the right boards flipped a backhand to Couture driving down the slot.  Couture deked Howard to the forehand side, then sild a backhand through the five-hole for the marker.
SJ E Goal: Couture (4)  A: Heatley (4) at 0:54  3-1 SJ

DET E Goal: Kronwall (2)  A: Datsyuk (8), Stuart (1) at 16:25  2-1 SJ

15:32 Sharks make it 2-0 capitalizing on an odd-man rush with a beautiful long pass up the left boards from Wellwood.  After giving the puck away to Rafalski in the San Jose zone, Wellwood hustled and got it back to start the play, he then led Clowe perfectly up the left boards.  Clowe carried the puck in, slid it over to Pavelski who was driving down the slot and tipped it in passed Howard.

17:43 Thornton and Franzen are both sent off for minors and we will skate four-on-four.  Franzen is called for slashing Thornton, while Thornton is curiously called for unsportsmanlike conduct.

17:18 Sharks strike first as Setoguchi tips one passed Howard.  Thornton with a face-off win, at the circle to Howard's left, back to the point to Boyle.  Boyle back-skated the puck to the high slot and fired a slapshot that was deflected down by Setoguchi through Howard's five-hole.

12:26 Lidstrom called for tripping Setoguchi in front of Detroit net giving Sharks their second power play of the first period.

4:53 Good pace to this one thus far.  Shots are 4-2 San Jose, Sharks took the first four.

1:30 Officials appeared to miss a too many men on the ice penalty on the Red Wings.  Puck hit off the skate of a sixth Red Wing skater a few feet out in front of Detroit bench.

0:00 Game underway as the Zetterberg line starts with Lidstrom and Stuart on defense; Sharks counter with the Couture line with White and Wallin at the blueline.
