Couple notes: Kronwall had a really strong effort for Detroit, was probably their best player other than Datsyuk. He finished a +1 in a team leading 24:52 of ice time, blocked three shots, had two hits, a goal and an assist.
Pavelski, Boyle, Setoguchi and Couture all fired a team high six shots in the game.
Clowe notched an assist, trying him for the league lead with 13 points in the playoffs (4-9-13).
Thornton has ten points in the last nine games (2-8-10).
Franzen did not take a shift over the last seven minutes of the second period and did not get on the ice during the third period.
20:00 It's over at HP Pavilion and the Red Wings stay alive with a tremendous third period comeback and a 4-3 win. San Jose had a 3-1 lead early in the third, but the Red Wings rally and send the series back to Detroit with the Sharks now leading 3-2. The Red Wings scored three goals on six shots in the period as San Jose outshot Detroit 12-6 in the period and 42-22 for the game.

3:43 Red Wings pull back to with-in a goal and stay in the game. Datsyuk from below the goaline flips a backhand toward the slot and Zetterberg taps the puck over to an open Ericsson pinching in and lifted the puck over Niemi who was down along the ice. Both Detroit goals have come from their defense.

1:25 Heatley is called for high-sticking Filppula in the neutral zone sending the Red Wings on their second power play.

20:00 Second period ends with the Sharks leading the Red Wings 2-1. San Jose outshot the wings 14-9 for the period and lead 30-16 for the game; Sharks also hold a 24-18 edge on face-offs.
16:25 Detroit gets on the board and gets a much needed tally. Datsyuk scoops up a loose puck at the left point and finds Kronwall low right side for a one-timer as the Red Wings d-man jumps up on the play.

15:32 Sharks make it 2-0 capitalizing on an odd-man rush with a beautiful long pass up the left boards from Wellwood. After giving the puck away to Rafalski in the San Jose zone, Wellwood hustled and got it back to start the play, he then led Clowe perfectly up the left boards. Clowe carried the puck in, slid it over to Pavelski who was driving down the slot and tipped it in passed Howard.

12:05 Thornton comes out and some outstanding work by the Sharks penalty kill, no shots with the man advantage for the Red Wings.

9:55 Detroit with their best chance of the second is covered by Niemi as Eaves lets a wrister fly from the top of the left circle off a rebound.

17:18 Sharks strike first as Setoguchi tips one passed Howard. Thornton with a face-off win, at the circle to Howard's left, back to the point to Boyle. Boyle back-skated the puck to the high slot and fired a slapshot that was deflected down by Setoguchi through Howard's five-hole.

14:35 Niemi with a ridiculous diving glove save on Ericsson to keep it a scoreless game. Niemi gave up a rebound off a Rafalski left point slapshot; puck bounced to Ericsson at right dot and his blast into what was an open net was denied by Niemi lunging from post to post.
