Sharks Recall Matt Tennyson from Worcester

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Matt Tennyson (@Tenner_7) from the Worcester Sharks (@WorcesterSharks) of the AHL.

Tennyson, 23, has recorded 10 points (2-8=10) and 23 penalty minutes in 31 games for the Worcester Sharks this season. The six-foot-two, 205-pound blueliner has collected 39 points (8-31=39) in 98 career AHL games with Worcester.

The native of Minneapolis, MN, who was raised in Pleasanton, CA, became the first player developed by the San Jose Jr. Sharks (@sanjosejrsharks) program to play in the NHL for the San Jose Sharks. He has tallied two assists in four NHL games.

Tennyson was signed as a free agent on March 29, 2012.

In addition, Center Logan Couture (@Logancouture) has been placed on injured reserve.
