SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forwards Timo Meier (@MeierTimo) and Danny O'Regan (@DannyORegan15) from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
Meier, 20, has tallied 12 goals, nine assists and 93 shots on goal in 32 games for the Barracuda this season.
The six-foot, 210-pound native of Herisau, Switzerland, was the Sharks first-round selection (ninth overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft.
The 23-year-old O'Regan leads the Barracuda in points (52), and is 2nd on the team with 20 goals and 2nd with 32 assists in 54 games during his first professional campaign. The center ranks 1st amongst all AHL rookies in points, T-2nd in assists and 6th in goals. He made his NHL debut on Nov. 21 vs. New Jersey.
The five-foot-nine, 180-pound center was drafted by San Jose in the 2012 NHL Draft (fifth round, 138th overall).
In addition, the Sharks have reassigned F Ryan Carpenter (@carpydeuces) to the Barracuda.
