Sharks Recall Forward Scott Reedy from Barracuda

SAN JOSE, CA - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Scott Reedy from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). This is Reedy's first recall to the Sharks.

Reedy, 22, has appeared in 12 games for the Barracuda this season, recording a team-high 12 points (eight goals, four assists). Reedy paces all club skaters and sits second among AHL rookies with eight goals. Last season, Reedy played as a senior for the University of Minnesota before making his AHL debut on Apr. 6, 2021vs. Henderson Silver Knights. Collegiately, he was tied-third in team scoring with 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 28 games. The team was 11-0-0 when he scored a goal and 16-2-0 when he recorded a point. Reedy finished the season with eight points (five goals, three assists) in 17 AHL games after signing his entry-level contract with the Sharks on Apr. 2. He also posted one assist in four playoff games.

The six-foot-two, 215-pound native of Prior Lake, Minn. was selected by San Jose in the 2017 NHL Draft (fourth round, 102nd overall).

Additionally, the club has reassigned forward Jeffrey Viel to the Barracuda.
