Sharks Recall Demers from Worcester

SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Jason Demers from the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

Demers has played in 45 games for San Jose, posting 20 points (four goals, 16 assists), 12 penalty minutes and a plus-9 rating.

In 25 games with Worcester, Demers posted 17 points (four goals, 13 assists), along with 24 penalty minutes and a plus-seven rating.

The six-foot-one, 185-pound native of Dorval, Quebec was originally selected by San Jose in the seventh round (186th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
