Sharks Recall Chris Tierney from Worcester

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Chris Tierney (@tierney71) from the Worcester Sharks (AHL).

The 20-year-old Tierney has posted 24 points (7 goals, 17 assists) in 27 games with Worcester this season. At the time of his recall on March 2, Tierney ranked 1st on the team in points per game (0.89) and ninth on the team in points (24).

In 24 games with San Jose this year, Tierney has registered seven points (1-6=7). He made his NHL debut on Oct. 8 at Los Angeles and recorded his first career point (an assist) in the contest.

A six-foot, 190-pound native of Keswick, Ontario, Tierney was originally drafted by San Jose in the second round (55th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.
