Sharks Recall Chris Tierney from Worcester

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Chris Tierney (@tierney71) from the Worcester Sharks (AHL).

The 20-year-old Tierney has posted 24 points (7 goals, 17 assists) in 26 games with Worcester this season, ranking 1st on the team in points per game (0.92) and third on the team in assists (17). In 14 games with San Jose this year, Tierney has registered two points (0-2=2).

The six-foot, 190-pound native of Keswick, Ontario was originally drafted by San Jose in the second round (55th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.

In a related move, Sharks forward Tye McGinn (@TyeMcGinn) has been placed on injured reserve.
