SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned forward Daniil Tarasov to the Worcester Sharks.
Tarasov, 23, has played two games for San Jose this season. In his first career game, Tarasov registered his first career NHL point, assisting on an Andrew Desjardins goal on Feb. 5 at Vancouver.
In 41 games with Worcester this season, Tarasov has registered 25 points (10-15=25). At the time of his recall, Tarasov led the team in points (25) and ranked third on the team in goals (10).
Last season with Worcester, he registered 31 points (17-14=31), ranking tied for third on the team in goals (17) and fourth in points (31) despite playing in just 47 games with the team.
In 131 career games with the Worcester Sharks, Tarasov has posted 84 points (41 goals, 43 assists) and 74 penalty minutes.
The six-foot, 185-pound native of Moscow, Russia was signed by San Jose as a free agent on April 2, 2013.
