San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned goaltender Dimitri Patzold to the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League.
Patzold was recalled from Worcester on March 4 but did not play in any games with San Jose. He was also previously recalled this season to San Jose from Dec. 19 thru Dec. 20 but did not play in any games.
Patzold has posted a 9-7-3 record in 21 games with Worcester this season with a 3.25 goals-against average and a .891 save percentage.
The six-foot, 195-pound native of Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan was selected by San Jose in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
