Sharks Re-Sign Forward Travis Oleksuk

SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has re-signed Group II restricted free agent forward Travis Oleksuk (@toleksuk11) to a one-year contract.

In 2013-14, Oleksuk posted 40 points (19 goals, 21 assists) and 20 penalty minutes in 74 games played with the Worcester Sharks (AHL). He finished the season second on the team in goals (19) and points (40), and tied for second on the team in assists (21). The forward was also named the Worcester Sharks Unsung Hero for the 2013-14 season.

The 25-year-old Oleksuk has appeared in 134 career regular season AHL games, registering 53 points (22 goals, 31 assists) and 32 penalty minutes.

The six-foot, 200-pound native of Thunder Bay, Ontario originally signed by San Jose as an undrafted free agent on March 30, 2012.
